An exciting new chapter in digital support opens up in Reinickendorf! With the innovative "digital zebra", the libraries now have a contact point for everyone who feels lost in the fast-moving digital world or simply need a competent helper. Regardless of whether it is about doctor's appointments, authorities or e-learning-the digital zebra is there and does not leave anyone in the digital jungle alone!

Under the direction of Jan Worath and Hisham Assari, two top-trained library professionals, every use is a challenge for digital ignorance. "Our libraries are places of participation, also in the digital world. With the digital zebra, we create low-threshold offers that enable people to move safely and independently in the digital world," enthuses district councilor for culture, Harald Muschner (CDU). This project inspires the sense of community and acts like a light beam into the darkness of digital uncertainty!

The best thing about it? The consultations are completely free and can be used without an appointment during the opening hours of the libraries. The offers are also tailored for people with visual or listening restrictions! And if you need documents for authorities, you can print or scan them for free on site. Incidentally, a library ID is not necessary - just come over and get started!

The "digital zebra" is part of an impressive initiative that is implemented in a total of 17 libraries throughout Berlin. Of course, this campaign is part of the "Culture and Libraries in the district" (cubist) and is supported by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFR). In Reinickendorf you can find the digital zebra both in the Reinickendorf-West district library and in the library in the Märkisches Viertel.
