Work and participation for mentally impaired people in Reinickendorf
On June 12, 2024, the conference "Work and Participation for People with Psychological Disabilities" took place in Reinickendorf, which was organized by the municipal psychiatric association Berlin-Reinickendorf e.V. (GPV) and the organizational unit Quality development, planning and coordination (QPK) in the Reinickendorf district office. Health City Councilor Uwe Brockhausen (SPD) emphasized the importance of cooperation in the GPV network and praised the many offers and help for mentally impaired people in Reinickendorf.
The conference was made by Christina Ruehmann and Dr. Jutta Schäfer led and dealt with various aspects of work and participation for people with mental illnesses. In addition to a historical review of the work for mentally ill people and holistic care, the importance of work for those affected and the improvements through professional participation were also discussed. Numerous speakers from the areas of Senate Administration, Science and Job Center gave lectures, followed by a panel discussion.
In Reinickendorf, the GPV is committed to supporting mentally impaired and/or addicted people. The event raised awareness of the challenges and needs of this group of people and measures were discussed in order to be able to provide needs and help.
