30 years of Center Talma: Dance as a voice for young people in Reinickendorf

Visitors experienced a real festival of the senses in the Fontane-Haus in Reinickendorf! On September 14, the girl and youth sports center Center Talma celebrated its 30th anniversary with a spectacular show called "Showtime". This anniversary event was not only a review of three decades full of dance and sport, but also a magnificent reunion between former and current Talma activists-a moving evening full of colors, emotions and impressive performances!

What makes the Center Talma so important? Sure, you use dance as a strong pedagogical tool! Not only are figures moved here, but also explosive issues such as violence against women, war and loneliness. The focus is on significant pieces of music that do not leave any space for violence and sexism. A clear point of view today!

The importance of the center was recognized by top -class guests! Claudia Zinke, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in the State of Brandenburg, and Alexander Ewers, the district councilor for youth and family in Reinickendorf, vividly praised the valuable work of the team. Bettina Lutze-Luis Fernández and her colleague Marnie Mayer-Lippok received words of thanks for their tireless efforts. Interest emphasizes that the Center Talma is an educational oasis for the youngsters, while Ewers described the center as the "pearl of the district" - and therefore did not exaggerate!
