Reinickendorf draws training heroes: Apply and win now!

With an inspiring initiative, the “Reinickendorfer Training Buddy 2025” competition is launched in order to appreciate companies that actively work for the training of young people. District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU) takes over the patronage for this significant project. The aim is to promote companies from Reinickendorf, take responsibility for the development of young people and for the business location. The initiative will be organized by the Reinickendorf district office in cooperation with the "Traditional Tradition" initiative.

Companies with a company headquarters in Reinickendorf and at least five employees can take part in the competition. An independent jury will determine the winners who are awarded in three equivalent categories for small, medium and large companies. The application deadline for interested companies is September 21, 2025, followed by a festive award on October 9, 2025. Further information is available on the website of the district office: www.berlin.de/ba-reinickendorf/service/wirtschaft/wirtschaftsfoerderung/aktuell.

Common commitment to training

The series of events "Wida (ways to train) Reinickendorf" illustrates another commitment in the district to include parents as multipliers in the training process. This planned event is intended to inform about the transitional options from the school to dual apprenticeships and aims to present small and medium -sized companies (SME) from Reinickendorf in particular. Parents of Reinickendorfer schools are given the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with training companies and learn more about training paths. Schools' professional and study orientation teams will forward the invitations to interested parents in order to optimally design the information event.

The initiative to promote regionality not only strengthens the connection between schools and local companies, but also creates a platform for the exchange of information that is of crucial importance for the educational planning planning.

support offers for young people

The transitions to vocational training or employment can be challenging for young people. That's why they are not alone. You will receive support from agencies for work and job centers that provide free advisory and placement offers as well as other services to promote vocational training. This includes, for example, professional educational measures (BVB) that offer practical experience and theoretical knowledge of successful vocational training.

measures such as language support and modules for the development of social and professional skills are also part of this program. Young people without school leaving certificate also have the opportunity to be prepared for the acquisition of the secondary school leaving certificate.

In addition, employers can apply for financial grants for remuneration for the entry qualification of young people who have not found a training position. These can be up to 276 euros per month. In addition, the vocational training allowance is paid by the employment agency to overcome financial difficulties during training. This aid is independent of income for participants in vocational preparation measures or assisted training.

Overall, there is a strong commitment to promoting trainees in the Reinickendorf district and strengthening the training system, which is to benefit both companies and young people.
