Pankow welcomes new queer officer for a discrimination sensibles district
The Berlin district of Pankow has had a new contact person for queer life since June 1, 2024. Jenny Bluhm was appointed for this position and will work for a diverse and non -discriminatory Pankow. With a background in gender studies and Slavistics as well as years of experience in health prevention and diversity development, Bluhm brings a high degree of professional competence.
As spokeswoman for the Berlin administration rainbow network, Bluhm is committed to visibility and against discrimination against queer college: inside. Most recently, she worked as a diversity officer and in the complaint office in accordance with the general equal treatment law in the district office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. In her new position, she will build a contact and competence center to queer life in Pankow and participate in a Berlin-wide strategy for queer security and against queer hostility.
District Mayor Dr. Cordelia Koch emphasizes the importance of this new position as an important step for an open and diverse Pankow. In view of increasing open discrimination against queer people, Jenny Bluhm's work as a queer officer is considered particularly important. The opening event of the ‘Pride House Berlin-Euro 2024’ On June 14th offers the opportunity to get to know Jenny Bluhm and the other queer officers of the districts.
Furthermore, Bluhm will be represented at events such as Sticks & Stones, the Lesbian Wulen City Festival and the CSD to get into conversation with interested citizens: inside. Contact details for Jenny Bluhm can be reached at queer@ba-pankow.berlin.de and your mobile number +49 151 15076362. Further information is available on the website www.berlin.de/ba-pankow/queer.
