On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the Berlin concert hall shines in new splendor! The coveted Opus classic is awarded - a gigantic event for the world of classical music that should not be missed! This time the charming Désirée Nosbusch will lead through the festive evening, supported by the emerging "today show" reporter Fabian Köster, who of course should not be missing with his joke!

In a live broadcast that ZDF sends time off from 10:15 p.m., international stars and music greats are expected, including the dazzling pianist Lang Lang and the adorable Anna Lapwood. And if you think that the music experience is already over, you are wrong! In the ZDF media library, the event will be served as a lookup from Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10 a.m.

award ceremony in 27 categories

The glamorous event will be the best of the best in 27 categories! Among the radiant winners, Austrian soprano Anna Prohaska is the "singer of the year", while Bariton Konstantin Krimmel gives the title of the "singer of the year".

The young talents are particularly promising! The stage pioneers are available here: 27-year-old Canadian pianist Bruce Liu, 22-year-old Spanish violinist María Dueñas and 30-year-old Russian cellist Anastasia Kobekina. And that's far from everything! The 24-year-old guitar virtuoso Marcin, known from "America’s Got Talent", is represented with his extraordinary sounds the category "Video Clip of the Year".

The honor of the instrumentalists of the year goes to the grandiose cellists Gautier Capuçon and the star pianists Lang Lang, who appears together with his wife, the talented Gina Alice. Eyes and ears will also be up for the organist Anna Lapwood! It is the "Taylor Swift of Classical Music" and is celebrated in the "Solistic recording" category.

A look behind the scenes

But that's not all! Reporter Fabian Köster will not only accompany the events on stage, but also look behind the scenes of the classical world and personally visit some of the award -winning artists. It will be exciting, emotional and entertaining!

The festive gala is accompanied musically by the concert house orchestra under the ingenious conductor Kevin John Edusei, which is guaranteed to ensure goosebumps.
