New pump track in Hellersdorf: Opening with action and fun!
A new pump track, a special circuit for bicycles, skateboards and scooters, was built in Liberty Park completed in Hellersdorf. This facility covers an area of approximately 1,300 square meters and offers waves, curves and jumps for both beginners and experienced roller athletes. The official opening will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The pump track is organized by the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office in collaboration with the specialist company “Dirtways”. Interested visitors can attend the opening ceremony free of charge. The event offers an exciting program that includes, among other things, demonstrations by a professional team of trainers, the opportunity to rent bicycles, skateboards and helmets and an introduction to the use of the pump track.
A project for the community
Particularly noteworthy is the planning of the pump track, which was carried out in close collaboration with young people from the neighborhood and the youth leisure facility “Senfte 10”. The aim of the project is to create a place that promotes movement, encounters and community. The pump track is the first construction phase in Liberty Park and part of the larger “Aktivpark Hellersdorf” project.
The project is financed by the federal-state program “Investment Pact for Sports Facilities”, supported by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction and the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing.
Weather-appropriate implementation and further information
The opening ceremony will only take place in dry weather; If it rains, the event must be canceled. To ensure that all visitors are well prepared, rental offers and instructions from experienced trainers are provided so that everyone has the opportunity to try out the pump track.
