Refurbishment of the Duferpromenade Tucholskystraße: BaubeGegt on July 3, 2024
The district councilor for order, environment, nature, streets and green spaces, Christopher Schriner, announced that the street and green space office (SGA) Mitte will renew the promenade on Tucholskystrasse. Between the Weidendammer Brücke and the Ebertsbrücke, the substructure of the water -bound path covers is first renewed, followed by a new top layer for the promenade. Furthermore, the commissioned company will replace and maintain some roses over the next three years. Another focus of the work will be the floor ventilation of the compacted root space of a linden tree to facilitate the intake of water and nutrients to the tree.
The work is planned for July 3, 2024 and should last between six and eight weeks, depending on the weather. During the construction work, the promenade will be completely blocked to ensure the safety of workers and visitors.
These renovation work is part of a larger initiative for the upgrading of public green spaces and to create pleasant public rooms in the city. The promenade on Tucholskystrasse is a popular place for walks and relaxation and is used by locals and tourists alike.
