Der Bezirksstadtrat für Ordnung, Umwelt, Natur, Straßen und Grünflächen, Christopher Schriner, kündigte an, dass das Straßen- und Grünflächenamt (SGA) Mitte die Uferpromenade an der Tucholskystraße erneuern wird. Zwischen der Weidendammer Brücke und der Ebertsbrücke wird zunächst der Unterbau der wassergebundenen Wegedecke erneuert, gefolgt von einer neuen Deckschicht für die Promenade. Des Weiteren wird die beauftragte Firma in den kommenden drei Jahren einige Rosen ersetzen und pflegen. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Arbeiten wird die Bodenbelüftung des verdichteten Wurzelraums einer Linde sein, um dem Baum die Aufnahme von Wasser und Nährstoffen zu erleichtern.
