New school location for the Anna-Lindh elementary school: move 2025 planned
A big day for the Anna-Lindh primary school: The new school building on Reinickendorfer Straße was ceremoniously handed over by the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living to the Mitte district office! A moment that makes the faces of the students shine. After a tedious time in an alternative location after moving out of Guineastraße, driven by mold, the future now looks radiant!
The exciting move to the new four -day premises is scheduled for February 2025 - and preparations are in full swing. This modern learning facility, which is built on the area of the former Wedding health department, offers space for 576 young heads. The anticipation in the school community is tangible!

In this magnificent new home, the classrooms are accommodated in well -thought -out comed, which offer the students an optimal learning environment. The ground floor shines with a spacious cafeteria - no more excuses for hungry stomachs! There is also a multi -purpose room for various activities. Anyone who loves books will learn to appreciate the library on the upper floors. The technical facilities also set standards: a separate PV system and green roofs ensure a modern and sustainable climate-according to the federal evaluation system sustainable building, the quality level "silver" is even aimed for!
An additional highlight are the barrier -free sports halls, which are not only used for the school's physical education lessons, but can also be boosted by local clubs. There is a spectator gallery on two levels, where the rural neighbor can also take a seat. The foyer on the ground floor becomes the linchpin for events and school activities. These “sports oases” will be accessible to neighboring schools in the course of October 2024 and thus offer a wide range of uses!
School City Councilor Benjamin Fritz emphasizes the importance of this development: "The step to the transfer to the specialist assets of the district office is a significant contribution to a smooth and successful move of our school community. I am pleased that we are finally having a permanent location for the Anna-Lindh school that offers modern learning opportunities!"
