Das Bezirksamt Mitte von Berlin hat einen neuen Bezirksstadtrat für die Ressorts Ordnung, Umwelt, Natur, Straßen und Grünflächen ernannt. Am 25. April 2024 wurde Christopher Schriner von der Bezirksverordnetenversammlung Mitte in sein Amt gewählt und erhielt daraufhin seine Ernennungsurkunde. Schriner wurde 1980 in Bonn geboren und wuchs dort auf. Nach seinem Architekturstudium an der FH Köln arbeitete er an der RWTH Aachen und in einem Bonner Architekturbüro. The district office Mitte of Berlin has appointed a new district councilor for the departments, environment, nature, streets and green spaces. On April 25, 2024, Christopher Schriner was elected to his office by the district council meeting in Mitte and then received his certificate of appointment. Schriner was born in Bonn in 1980 and grew up there. After studying architecture at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, he worked on RWTH Aachen and in a Bonn architecture firm. He has lived in Berlin since 2013 and was a partner in an office for competitive, urban development and project development until his appointment as a district councilor.

With his appointment, Schriner succeeds Dr. Almut Neumann, who had resigned for family reasons. As a new district councilor, Schriner wants to campaign particularly for the mobility turnaround and more city green in order to improve the security and quality of life in the city. District Mayor Stefanie Remlinger praises the progress that the district office in Mitte has achieved in recent years in the redesign of public space and is confident that this success can also be continued under the direction of Christopher Schriner.
