New contact point for environmental education in the Mitte district

New contact point for environmental education in the Mitte district
A new sensation for the Mitte district! From now on, a fresh point of contact caught the eye, which is entirely committed to environmental education. Here skills come together to create a greener future. The new coordination office for nature, environmental, climate and sustainability formation (NUKN) opened its doors and invites users and providers warmly!
In the middle of the significant challenges of our time, including the worrying species death and the global environmental crisis, the district sets a powerful sign. The committed environmental educator Julia Friederike Brodersen takes over the management of this future -oriented institution. Your mission: to establish networks, further develop existing educational offers and to initiate exciting new projects. "Act together," emphasizes District Councilor Christopher Schriner, "is now more important than ever!"
a network for the future
The coordination office has a clear task: offer advice for actors in the district and inform about further and further education offers. Together with other Berlin districts, educational work on the subject of nature, the environment and climate is to be strengthened. In short: a city -wide network of educational institutions is created, which promotes sustainability and paving a green educational path!
The collaboration with the renowned school environment center Berlin-Mitte (SUZ) underlines this initiative. "Green learning rooms" can be used here, which enrich the educational institutions and actively involve children and young people in nature.
District City Councilor Benjamin Fritz enthusiastically explains: "The new coordination office will play a key role in education towards nature and the environment. We create valuable opportunities that the young people can expand their knowledge in the MINT subjects in the middle of the city!" An impressive step that revolutionizes environmental education in the district!
The coordination office was officially presented at an exciting event in the school environment center on October 18. During a joint action, the center was proudly recognized as "one of 600+ green learning locations" - a clear signal for the preservation and promotion of our environment!
