Knife attack in Berlin-Marzahn: Revenge act to ex-partner?

On February 20, 2023, a woman was victim to a brutal knife attack in Berlin-Marzahn when she went for a walk with French bulldogs. Accordingly, the 34-year-old Soner G. is said to have commissioned the attack to take revenge on his ex-partner.

The accused was heard before the Tiergarten district court and on March 23 for the time being. However, the public prosecutor successfully filed a complaint and obtained his detention from April 14, 2023.

The 39-year-old Lola M. (name changed) suffered a ten centimeter long, superficial cutting injury on the face in the attack. As early as April 2022, the accused is said to have held a firearm compared to Lola M. during a separation interview and thereby threatened to kill them.

The defendant is accused of threats and incitement for dangerous bodily harm. The actual attacker was not identified and the accused is silent about the allegations. After the attack, the beautician was under personal protection with the State Criminal Police Office for several weeks.

lola M. now commented on the background of the act: "He was sitting in jail for a few years. I should be deported. But he should marry. But he fell back to his old environment, stayed away at night and cheated on me. I think he consumed again cocaine. Then he was completely frightened by the tires.

In the meantime, Lola M. is with a city -famous person from the neighborhood. Due to her hobby breeding of pedigree dogs, she is supposed to be targeted by customs and tax investigation.

The accused has now found a new partner with whom he has already set the wedding date. She supports him as a listener in the courtroom.

The accused can be open to a deposit of 5000 euros, but must report to the police station three times a week. The judgment is expected on July 26th.
