Mazepin ends Formula 1 dream: New Way as a hybrid athlete!
The dream of Nikita Mazepin in Formula 1 has finally burst. The former racing driver of the Haas team has announced that he will not be active as a full-time racing driver. He recently announced this on Instagram and declared that he now wanted to focus on other sporting challenges. After participating in a 24-hour race in Dubai, the 25-year-old changed his focus and described himself as a "hybrid athlete". Instead of taking part in Formula 1, he plans to take part in five competitions in various sports, including a boxing match in autumn 2025, as well as motorcycle races and the Russian buggy championship, such as Berlin Live reported .
When Mazepin 2021 entered Formula 1, a big dream fulfilled for him. But just a season later, this career was abruptly ended by the Russian attack war against Ukraine, since Haas separated from Mazepin after being placed on the EU sanction list. The sanctions were imposed due to his family connections, especially his father Dimitri, who maintained close relationships with Vladimir Putin. Although the EU recently lifted the sanctions against him, Mazepin is not planning a return to Formula 1. He was affected by the time he lost through the sanctions and emphasized that he now wanted to concentrate on the future, like Speedweek reported .
being successful in court brings him satisfaction, but Mazepin reflects on the lost time in his career and now sees the need to break new ground. "I think I can now say that the first act of my life was really shaped by the attempt to be the best in motorsport," he said. With this insight, he plans to take his next steps as a "adult", far from speed and trophy dreams.
