Marzahn, a district in eastern Berlin, is known for its prefabricated architecture from the time of the GDR. With the Kieztour “Works of Art in the Marzahn cityscape”, residents and visitors have the opportunity to get to know the artistic aspects and hidden treasures of the district. The tour offers a unique perspective on Marzahn and shows that art can be found everywhere, even in supposedly gray and monotonous environments.
Marzahn-Hellersdorf, which emerged from the formerly independent districts of Marzahn and Hellersdorf, has a eventful history. The works of art in the cityscape not only tell of aesthetic aspects, but also of the changes and developments that the district has gone through over time.
