A radiant new playground with the motto "Grünspecht" saw the light of day on November 6, 2024 in Berlin-Fennpfuhl! The district office of Lichtenberg, together with euphoric children, committed parents and attentive district prescribed, has replaced the play equipment, some of which were aged in years, with a completely revised dream playground.

District City Councilor Filiz Keküllüoğlu from Bündnis 90/The Greens beamed for joy: "It is a very special place where the children play, laugh and find new friends: find inside!" Their commitment and that of the many active employees were more than worth it, because the excitement was huge. There was even a medal for every little "playground professional" that inaugurated the new slide! An impressive example of how communal action brings to shine.

The playground is now a real paradise for every little adventurer! In the special toddler area, the youngest up to three years can let off steam in the sand, while the larger kids explore the navigable play area with wood chopping. Even a nest swing has returned, which offers a loosening pleasure for everyone! New seating is also available, as well as a table tennis table and an exciting balancing route. And the best? These fantastic redesign cost a whopping 600,000 euros - every cent seems well invested!

With the playground on Georg-Lehnig-Straße, the district office not only renewed an old venue, but also created a heart for the community. It is a place where memories arise and children's hearts beat faster - and all thanks to the tireless efforts of the city administration and the enthusiasm of the residents!
