Artist Ulrike Mohr shows room drawings from charcoal in Berlin

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the exhibition "Carbon Geometry" by sculptor Ulrike Mohr will open in the studio in the high -rise at Zingster Straße 25, 13051 Berlin, at 6:00 p.m. The exhibition will be shown by July 1, 2024. Ulrike Mohr presents her spatial drawings, artistic installations from self -made charcoal.

Ulrike Mohr, born in 1970, studied free art and sculpture at the Berlin-Weißensee art college and lives and works as a visual artist in Berlin. In her work, she specializes in the transformation of materials, whereby it is based on complex research processes, traditional knowledge or chance. In recent years she has been working in particular with the work with charcoal and uses them for experiments and drawings in the room.

The exhibition "Carbon Geometry" shows Mohr's ability to combine the traditional craft of the Köhlerei with contemporary art. It emphasizes the importance of the material in her works and at the same time researches its origin and nature. Due to its so -called spatial drawings, Mohr creates a connection between nature, craft and artistic research.

The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to look at Ulrike Mohr's unique works of art up close and to get an insight into their artistic approach. The opening times are from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
