Shortly after the International Memorial Day on January 27, two exhibitions in the Lichtenberg district are opened, which deal with the topic of memory culture and the traces of violence in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. The exhibition "Landscape. Memory" deals with photographs and cinematic works that show the environments of the former extermination camp Treblinka and Chelmno. The exhibition "Je Penses à toi Charlotte" in the Lichtenberg Museum presents photographs from the area around the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp as well as color photographs on the subject of violence and resistance.
