Inclusive neighborhood walk in the Kaskiez: A sign of accessibility in Berlin

The walk, which lasts from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. , begins at Viktoriahaus at SpittAstraße 36, 10317 Berlin.

This walk takes place as part of the European mobility week , which bears the motto "Use street space together" this year. People with disabilities in particular should focus on, since their needs are often neglected in urban planning.

Participation in this event requires prior registration. In unfavorable weather conditions, the meeting will take place on the premises of the Victoria House instead of the walk.

The provision of a gemstockter is particularly important on this walk, in order to enable deaf people to participate. If such an offer is desired, timely registration is necessary up to a week before the event.

The importance of such inclusive events lies not only in the awareness of accessibility, but also in the promotion of the community dialogue. The exchange between the participants can develop new ideas and solutions for better integration in the urban area. The neighborhood walk is therefore an important step towards a more inclusive society that does not exclude anyone.
