From 18. Until November 25, 2024 in the Lichtenberg district, the fight against violence against women and girls is bubbling! On the occasion of the international day against violence, which will be celebrated on November 25th, a rousing week of action starts. This powerful event includes highly committed initiators such as Eva Karpf, the district's equality officer, and other passionate activists such as Neža Peterle from the welcome culture and Giulia Baldisserri-Benko from the women's project "Für you*". Lara Schmidgall from the community meeting "Together in the neighborhood" also brings her voice. Together, this group raises the voice against the shocking conditions that women experience in our society!

"Violence against women and girls is still bitter reality. This commitment is a task for society as a whole!" Emphasizes District Mayor Martin Schaefer (CDU). He makes it clear: "Domestic violence knows no limits - not in terms of education, origin or age. Men also have to position themselves clearly and unequivocally: we do not tolerate that!" With this clear message, he calls up all Lichtenberger to become active and not to duck away!
