The Berlin police's property protection currently monitors over 1,000 buildings, including messages and synagogues. Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD) expressed a positive statement about the decision and emphasized that she supported the higher classification of the tariff employees in central property protection.

The plaintiff's attorney Johannes Weberling welcomed the announcement of the financial administration, but also criticized the Berlin state government. He accused her of having "played for a long time" for years and that the guard police were not valued sufficiently.

Weberling calls the Berlin police to assure in writing by August 20 that all affected property supporters will receive their salary aftermath by the end of the year. Otherwise, he is driving with hundreds of lawsuits to pull in front of the state labor court for a quick additional payment.

The exact sum of the additional payments has not yet been determined. However, the financial administration stated that it expects additional costs of 4.7 million euros per year for the future.

According to the RBB information, the Berlin police are planning mandatory information events at the end of August for the “correction of the grouping” for the employees. However, the specific additional payments should not be mentioned.
