According to a report by the online medium in Berlin Kurier, the Senate of Berlin has published the previous crime statistics of the Berlin parks for 2023. The Görlitzer Park in Kreuzberg is at the top of the most dangerous green areas in the capital. In the current year, 1018 crimes have already been committed, including seven sex offenses and 120 cases of theft. The 131 raw crimes are particularly worrying, which include dangerous bodily harm, simple bodily harm, predatory extortion, blackmail and threats.
In comparison, the figures on crime in the Mauerpark in Prenzlauer Berg do not work too high, but there were already 234 crimes in 2023, including three sex offenses and 69 raw material offenses. 132 crimes were registered in the Volkspark Hasenheide this year, including three sex offenses and 29 cases of theft. There were 113 crimes in the Volkspark Friedrichshain, in Treptower Park 95 crimes and 87 crimes in the park on the Gleisdreieck.
However, there are also parks in Berlin, where there were significantly less or no criminal offenses. These include the small zoo, the large zoo, the Volkspark Rehberge and the VictoriaPark with 18 crimes each in 2023. The Pankow Bürgerpark and the Volkspark Schönholzer Heide only a criminal offense.
