storm and great heat on Saturday in Germany

This next Saturday, Germany expects high temperatures in some areas and the risk of strong stabilizers. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the temperatures in the southeastern half of Germany will rise to up to 38 degrees, as hot air from Spain and the western Mediterranean flows into the country.

The heat, Saxony, Thuringia and Bavaria are particularly affected by the heat, where the 35-degree mark is exceeded. In the west and northwest, on the other hand, it remains less than 30 degrees. At the same time, Germany has to prepare for further storms after parts of West and southern Germany have recently been devastated by thunderstorms.

meteorologist Lars Kirchhübel from the DWD speaks of a possible "explosive" weather mix. According to the DWD weatherproof, the thunderstorms begin in the afternoon in Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and in Hesse. From there, showers and thunderstorms move to Germany, especially in the southwest to the eastern center, accompanied by violent heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail. The thunderstorms then reach parts of East Germany.

Special attention is in the south of the country, where, according to DWD, a thunderstorm cluster could arise, accompanied by severe gusts of wind or hurricane-like gusts as well as violent heavy rain, which moves over Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. There is also the possibility of hailstormers with a size of up to three centimeters.

Lars Kirchhübel emphasizes that the south of Germany in particular is imminent hours. The weather should only calm down in many places in the coming days.

On Sunday it will be cooler. The maximum values in the northwest will be between 20 and 24 degrees, in the rest of the country between 25 and 30 degrees. The same is predicted for Monday.

In the meantime, a heat wave is expected in South and Southeast Europe, which will last with small fluctuations in the coming days. In Greece, more than 40 degrees were measured in some regions on Friday. For the time being, the meteorologists in Athens do not give the all -clear and say that the temperatures will remain around 35 degrees. The situation is similar in Italy, where temperatures of over 40 degrees are expected in the capital Rome at the beginning of the week.
