Temporary play streets in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg: start of the season with ten streets

In Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg sind die temporären Spielstraßen wieder in vollem Gange, um den Bewohnern und insbesondere den Kindern eine sichere und unterhaltsame Umgebung zu bieten. Insgesamt zehn temporäre Spielstraßen werden diesen Sommer im Bezirk stattfinden. Diese Aktion wäre nicht möglich ohne das Engagement der Kiezlots*innen, die ehrenamtlich die Betreuung der Spielstraßen übernehmen. Interessierte können sich noch als freiwillige Kiezlots*innen melden, um bei der Umsetzung mitzuwirken. Die Spielstraßen finden in verschiedenen Straßen von Friedrichshain und Kreuzberg statt, darunter die Bänschstraße, Jessnerstraße, Richard-Sorge-Straße, Niederbarnimstraße, Simplonstraße, Forster Straße, Friedrichstraße, Wassertorstraße und Wrangelstraße. In addition, new initiatives on the Berlin-wide game road campaign on September 22 have the chance to rehearse a temporary playground. Registration is required by e-mail by May 21st.

The district councilor for traffic, green spaces, order and environment, Annika Gerold, emphasizes the importance of these temporary play streets for the community and would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment.
