The customers flock to the store, smartphone in their hands, ready for the next bargain. "Most reveal themselves through the cell phone," says Heiden. With a brief look at the reserved bag, you will receive fresh products that would otherwise end up in the trash. From fresh fruit and vegetables to delicious bread from "Time for Bread" - the selection is varied and cheap. There are bags for only three or four euros, the content of which has a value of up to six euros. A real deal!
Throw away food? Excluded!
Heiden, a former engineer, took the step into self -employment in early 2023 to offer people in his neighborhood a sustainable alternative. "A business was missing in our neighborhood," he explains. His shop, which is hidden in a small side street, not only offers a reduced selection, but also a unique shopping experience. Customers can bring their own containers and fill the desired quantities themselves - a concept that supports the trend towards less packaging.
The app too good to go has proven to be a hit, because it enables customers to save food from the garbage can and at the same time save money. "In 95 percent of cases, things are gone," reports Heiden proudly. Customers are enthusiastic and use the app to become creative in the kitchen. "Here you can combine the good with the useful," says a satisfied customer. A visit to this special supermarket is not only a way to save money, but also a step towards sustainability!
