New primary school in Kreuzberg: better learning location for 576 students!
An exciting chapter for the Bergmannkiez community school has started in Kreuzberg! The exciting handover of the brand new basic level and the modern sports hall has now been completed. A construction project that sets standards and sparked the enthusiasm of students, teachers and parents throughout the neighborhood!
The new building, a real giant with 9,207 square meters, was realized in close cooperation with the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living. Here learning becomes an experience! The school is designed as a comm, school and offers young learners an innovative school concept with inviting rooms that invite you to discover and research. Place for 576 students means: The future will be designed here!

modern architecture meets educational concepts
With the joint new construction of the basic level building and sports hall, the ideal framework conditions for a bound all -day operation are created. Andy Hehmke, district councilor for school, sports and facility management emphasizes: "This school will offer space for inclusion, movement and reading promotion - from schooling to high school there is a continuous range of education!"
The impressive architecture comes from the renowned architecture firm Bruno Fioretti Marquez from Berlin, which has won the competition for the construction of several modular schools. The educational piece of jewelry was built between the first quarter of 2023 and the fourth quarter of 2024. With costs of around 50 million euros, this investment is a clear commitment to a future -oriented educational infrastructure!
