The creative power of photography is celebrated in Berlin-Kreuzberg! From November 14th to 17th, the Bethanien project room opens its doors for the captivating exhibition "Empire". This impressive show is the result of a one -year project in which ten talented photographer: inside the Eastern Cross School for Photography. Her work not only shows the diversity of the city, but also the deep emotions that they cause. The Tagesspiegel that Alejandro Soto strolled through the Berlin night and atmospheric pictures of the city and its people.

The exhibition offers a platform for different perspectives and topics. Alexander Roßbach with his black and white photographs of exhausted runners: inside after the finish line, not only captivated the physical exhaustion, but also addressed the deeper importance of running. "Running has a lot to do with search of meaning," explains Roßbach. "Overcoming distances, crossing borders, reaching a goal, failing, finding yourself again - all of this teaches us a lot about ourselves and the world around us."

The photographs of Daniela Voss show young people from Rostock-Lichtenhagen and reflect on their own youth. These encounters are not only visual representations, but also emotional reviews. Re deuse photographed people in the transition to sleep, while Ralf Klingelhöfer took friends and acquaintances in their personal passions. The topics of family and generation relationships are also strongly represented, with work by Jana Dashevsky and Nadine Breuer as well as Uwe Jung-Kempe.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, November 14th, at 7 p.m. The opening times are on November 15 and 16 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 17th, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Visitors can look forward to a profound examination of the topics of memory and identity, as is also expressed in the work of Eva Rieß. It examines the culture of remembrance using the example of Plötzensee, a place that is reminiscent of the victims of National Socialism and at the same time serves as a local recreation area.
