This year's celebrations on May 1st in Kreuzberg went peacefully and relaxed, while many visitors from all over the city flocked to the district. The district office was well prepared and used 15 sales representatives to ensure security and order. A total of 114 traffic offenses were found and 36 vehicles were implemented. In addition, 111 further administrative offenses were registered, mainly in connection with non -approved special uses and unauthorized grilling in green areas.
District Mayor Clara Herrmann expressed a positive comment on the course of May 1 and praised the peaceful atmosphere. The Görlitzer Park was particularly popular and the district office implemented measures such as a ban on grill and reinforced cleaning and security measures. 48 employees were on site to ensure cleanliness and security.
