Colorful Kreuzberg e-bike tour: Discover fair trade and climate protection

Das Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg lädt interessierte Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu einer Fahrradtour abseits der üblichen Touristenpfade ein. Unter dem Motto Fair Trade, Klimaschutz und globale Gerechtigkeit soll Kreuzberg in einem neuen Licht präsentiert werden. Der Bezirk setzt sich aktiv für nachhaltigen Konsum und stadtverträgliche Mobilität ein und ist sowohl Fairtrade-Bezirk als auch Vorreiter bei der Einführung von Pop-up-Radwegen in Berlin. Die geleitete Fahrradtour bietet den Teilnehmenden die Möglichkeit, den Bezirk aus einer neuen Perspektive zu entdecken und zu erfahren, welchen Beitrag Kreuzberg zur Erreichung globaler Nachhaltigkeitsziele leistet. The district office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg invites interested citizens to a bike tour away from the usual tourist paths. Kreuzberg is to be presented in a new light under the motto fair trade, climate protection and global justice. The district is actively committed to sustainable consumption and city-friendly mobility and is both a Fairtrade district and a pioneer in the introduction of pop-up cycle paths in Berlin.

The led bike tour offers the participants the opportunity to discover the district from a new perspective and to learn which contribution Kreuzberg makes to achieve global sustainability goals. In addition, the participants receive insights where fair and sustainably produced products are offered in Kreuzberg, from food to fashion to bicycles and sporting goods, including regional and fair samples.

The appointments for the bike tours are as follows:
- Tuesday, June 25, 2024, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, July 6, 2024, 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 7, 2024, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 3, 2024, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 12, 2024, 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

The tours start 6 opposite the Baraka restaurant at Lausitzer Platz 6 in 10997 Berlin. Interested parties can register by email to Helena.jansen@ba-fk.berlin.de at the latest one day before at the latest at 11 a.m. Various bike types are available free of charge, including electrical cargo bikes that are also suitable for transporting children or adults.
