A dramatic police car set drama unfolded in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in the evening! A driver and his accomplice quickly fled from a traffic stop. The plainclothes police had stopped the Mercedes-Benz because the owner was driving without a driver's license. But as the officers approached, the driver stepped on the gas, broke through a barrier and raced into the parking garage!
The pursuit was not for the faint of heart! While the driver ignored the controls, he passed a red light and escaped with daring maneuvers. In Schöneberg the car finally came to a stop against the wall of a hotel. The two men jumped out of the rolling car and ran away. Despite an immediate search with reinforcements, they remained missing. The police found a significant amount of narcotics in the vehicle and during the escape. The car was impounded and an investigation is now underway into multiple offenses including hit and run and illicit drug dealing. An exciting crime scenario that is far from over!
