Financing of the hospital reform: SOVD warns of one -sided stress
A dramatic wake -up call from the healthcare system! The Social Association of Germany (SOVD) loudly warns of the fatal consequences that could bring the planned financing of the hospital reform. In sharp words, you criticize that the urgently needed changes in the health system must not be realized on the back of the contributors.
"The planned financing of the transformation fund is a misuse of premiums," explains Michaela Engelmeier, the constant face of the SOVD. She reveals: "Almost half of the 50 billion euros that are supposed to flow into these funds for over ten years comes from the health fund's liquidity reserve, and in the end these are only funds that the insured have paid!" This practice not only leads to a constitutional debate, but is simply unsustainable in view of the alarming financial situation in statutory health insurance! This year the health fund already has a deficit of 6.3 billion euros, while the statutory health insurance companies continue to fight with red figures.
call to justice in financing!
Engelmeier is not only concerned, she speaks for all contributors when she emphasizes: "The planned reforms are indispensable, but financing must not be put on the shoulders of the citizens." The SOVD calls for a fair contribution from the federal government. "After all, the hospital reform will benefit all citizens, not just the legally insured!"
The pressure on health policy increases! Can we really allow our health care to fall into the crisis, while at the same time millions of contribution payers have to bleed for the consequences? The upcoming decisions in the Health Committee of the German Bundestag could be pioneering for the future of the German health system.
In these eventful times, it is time for all actors to come to a table and work on a solution that distributes the financial burden on all shoulders evenly. The wake -up call of the SOVD could be the beginning for a fundamental reform that really deserves the name!
All eyes are now on Berlin, where the public hearing for the Hospital Care and Supply improvement Act (KHVVVG) takes place. The debate has just started, but the questions are clear: What does sustainable financing look like? And who is responsible?
