English fans celebrate with style in Berlin before the EM final

The atmosphere on the Breitscheidplatz in Berlin was filled with hundreds of English football fans in the afternoon, which were united with beer and loud chants on the European Championship final against Spain. The police did not report any special events until the status of 4.30 p.m. and emphasized that the mood was peaceful and happy. Other fans made their way to the square in the late afternoon to join the celebrating crowd.

The fans had decorated the Breitscheidplatz with numerous white-red flags, while footballs flew through the air and the national anthem "God Save the King" and the song "Sweet Caroline" were sung loudly. Near the square, the well-known saxophone player Andre Schnura provided musical entertainment in a shop. His planned performance outdoors had to be laid inside due to a rain shower, but could still heat the mood.
