A call to innovation! The German Pharmacist Association (DAV) launched the German Pharmacy Award (DAA) in 2025 and is looking for the most creative and imaginative projects in pharmacies throughout Germany! For the fifth time, this coveted award will be awarded, which honors outstanding achievements in pharmacy care. Here it depends on how pharmacies with their creativity and innovative strength respond to the needs of their patients.

The deadline for the applications runs until February 17, 2025. Both individual pharmacies and those that tackle together with partners from patient self-help. On May 14, 2025, as part of the DAV Economic Forum in the pulsating capital Berlin, the glamorous award ceremony will take place. The winners are not only waiting for fame and honor, but also an exciting prize money: 4,000 euros for first place, 2,000 euros for the second and 1,000 euros for the third!

"The commitment, creativity and the innovative strength of many pharmacies are remarkable," says Berend Groeneveld, the DAV patient representative. These excellent performance often remain unnoticed, although they have an immense importance for the affected patients. The German Pharmacy Award is intended to offer this locally created projects a nationwide platform and make the public aware of the tireless work of the pharmacists.

No matter whether it is about coping with pandemics, delivery bottlenecks, self -help, digitization or prevention offers - these brave and committed specialists demonstrate their wealth of ideas every day. With this award, the DAV wants to set a sign again and put the tireless efforts and the valuable contribution of the pharmacies for people's health care.
