red noses clowns: a smile for the soul!

Whoever thinks that clowns are only for children is huge! In Berlin-Sie have proven that a broad grin can also work for adults, especially for cancer patients: inside, miracles. These clowns not only bring color, but also joy and lightness to everyday clinical life.

Today, the spirited clowns Zazou and Bartusch are on the oncological station of the Evangelical Forest Hospital in Spandau. Mr. D., a patient who was looking forward to your visit, can hardly wait to experience the two actors. When they enter the room, illness and worries take a back seat. The room is illuminated with music and dance. "Thank you for visiting me today and sung and dancing for me. That was very nice!" Says the older gentleman with a bright smile.

a new chapter for adults

Since June 2024, the weekly clown visite for adults has been cancer patient: inside a reality. The experience of the red noses on children's oncology shows that the diagnosis of cancer and its stress can turn the entire life upside down. The uncertainty about the future, operations and exertion therapies throw a shadow on the patients. But here the clowns start! With their unique humor and the ability to create happy moments, give the patient back: inside hope and confidence.

The nursing director of the oncological station, Simone Straube, is convinced of the healing power of the clowns. Surprised by her work at the children's ward, she decided to enrich her station with these extraordinary visits. "We are pleased that red noses come to visit regularly. They bring ease into our everyday life in the oncological station. That is good for us all," she says enthusiastically.

The non -profit association Rote Nasen Deutschland e.V. is a real ray of hope in difficult times and has brought laughter and joie de vivre for people in need for over 20 years. These specially trained artists: Inside, around 79,000 people reach every year - a real hero service! Supported by donations, they are an integral part of many social and medical institutions in Germany. At its top is the famous tenor Rolando Villazón as an ambassador.
