photographed neighborhood
In the first workshop, the young people have the opportunity to get to know their friends and neighbors better. You invite a workshop participant to your own life for a day. During this day they accompany the everyday life of the other, take photos and exchange ideas. Questions are asked like: "What do you do every day? How do your ways look? What are you fun? What is difficult for you? Do you have hobbies? Which are these? What are you particularly good at?". The talks are recorded and on the third day the photos and recordings can be compiled together with the library staff for an exhibition. The language in which the stories are told can choose the youngsters themselves and if necessary, help is helped.
Picturing Encounters - Workshop for Illustrator: Inside and storyteller: inside
The second workshop is aimed at young people who are interested in writing, illustrating or finding inspiration for a painting. No previous knowledge is required, but only interest is sufficient. Together there is work on illustrations and stories during the workshop. In the end, these are exhibited and published. Basic knowledge of German or English is sufficient to take part in the workshop.
Participation in both workshops is free of charge, but registration is required. This can be done by email to contact-english@encounter-blog.com or via Instagram to @Medienwerksttencounters. The Heinrich Schulz library with a music department is located in Otto-Suhr-Allee 98, 10585 Berlin.
