Trouble around the yellow tons in Berlin-Zehlendorf: The switch to the bin ensures chaos at the private service provider Alba. In the districts that are supplied by the Berlin city cleaning (BSR), everything runs according to plan, but there are problems in the areas of Alba. Residents complain that the containers are suddenly on the sidewalk, without prior information. When asked B.Z. thanked Alba spokesman Matthias Hochstätter and assured that the tons will be collected again soon. It is a misunderstanding. In fact, the tons were collected again on Wednesday.
The changeover of recycling sac to recycling bin should be completed by the end of October. This month can be expected to end the yellow sacks in Spandau, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Steglitz-Zehlendorf.
