Bundes budget 2025: traffic light coalition ensures long-term stability and economic relief
Kitt for the coalition: traffic lights reaches household cleaning
The traffic light coalition has reached an agreement on the Federal Balent Office in 2025 after intensive negotiations in the Chancellery. The top of the three parties - Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD), Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) and Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) - announced the result late in the morning. A coalition break is thus averted and there are good prospects that the traffic light will exist until the Bundestag election 2025.
The budget provides for adjustments for the current year that are carried out as part of the debt brake. In addition, the coalition plans an extensive package of measures to relieve the economy in order to give the weak economy new impetus. These are important steps to keep the government capable of acting and to keep Germany stable at a time.
Despite some questionable decisions, the burden of the household is limited. While the Bundeswehr and German foreign representatives receive fewer funds than desired, there are also improvements for families and tenants. Companies should also benefit from faster depreciation and bureaucracy relief. These measures are urgently necessary to give the German economy effective impulses.
The budget will be launched by the cabinet in mid -July and then discussed in the Bundestag. It is expected that there will still be many changes before the budget draft is passed. The way in which the debates in autumn are led at the parliamentary group level will show whether the traffic lights only reluctantly last until the next election or whether a new edition of the alliance is an option.
However, Germany is already sending an important signal to its international partners: Despite domestic politics, the federal government is capable of acting and willing to take on its responsibility. In view of the current challenges, this is of great importance. Russia tries to postpone limits in Europe with violence, France threatens to develop right -wing extremist development and in the United States there is again a nationalistic candidate before moving into the White House.
The traffic lights in Berlin are aware of the overarching responsibility that they bear. A resignation is not an option, the Chancellor emphasized. It would be the last thing Germany and Europe could now use: an unstable government and a paralyzing election campaign for months.
The agreement on the household is therefore not only important for the traffic light coalition, but also a sign of Germany's stability and ability to act in difficult times. It remains to be seen how the political situation develops and whether the traffic light will also exist beyond the Bundestag election.
