Experience biodiversity: New trittstein biotope opened in Reinickendorf
In Reinickendorf it gets green and blooming! At the Auguste-Viktoria-Allee 50, curious people can now explore a fascinating step-stone biotope-a real oasis of nature on only 40 square meters. With the help of the Foundation for Man and Environment and the AVA district management, this natural gem was launched in September, supported by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and Environment.
Here, visitors can expect a mini flource landscape full of view! Just a few steps from the Klixarena and two daycare centers, this new green area is the perfect place for children, families and nature lovers. With dry -tolerant wild plants, blooming spring messengers and exciting insect habitat, the small and large city discoverers can experience the miracles of local flora here.
a place for environmental education
"In the new step -by -case, great environmental education opportunities for children and adults can be realized and thus arouse interest in domestic wild plants and habitat structures," explains Kristine Tschirschnitz from the Naturalart team of the Foundation for Human and Environment. Naturfreunde Berlin e.V. have already promised their support and will take care of ongoing care. A real joint project that combines education and nature conservation!
This step -by -stone biotope is not just a little green in the otherwise gray city! It is part of a large -scale project that aims to increase biodiversity in urban rooms. Other such biotopes are already being planned - the start took place on the grounds of the Kleingartenverein Parkheim e.V. in Reinickendorf and subsequently a blower oasis was created at the St. Elisabeth II cemetery in Mitte. More such green oases are necessary!
