Berlin has lost its charm, says Guido Maria Kretschmer - a sad conclusion of the new book 19,521 Steps of the Berlin citizen.

The Berlin fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer expressed his regret in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung about the loss of the city's charm. He complains that Berlin has always become rougher and unkempt and that the people there were briefly connected there. He thinks it has become difficult to hit real Berliners. Nevertheless, he thanks the city for their support and emphasizes that Berlin friends often stick together.

In the interview, Kretschmer also reveals that he has been living in Hamburg for two years, but still has an apartment in Berlin-Schöneberg. It describes the district as a "multicultural place" with many traditional Berliners. He decided to move after an almost accident on the way back to Berlin.

Kretschmer also published a book entitled "19,521 Steps. From the happiness of the unexpected encounters", which was published on October 18 at Heyne Verlag. In the book he describes Berlin's character and his experiences with special people in the city.
