On the night of Sunday, the police arrested a man who is said to have attacked a few in Kreuzberg. According to witnesses, the two men aged 44 and 50 were insulted by an unknown homophobic at around 1:30 a.m. Then the attacker hit the younger man in the face several times with his fist, stepped him and pushed him to the ground. The companion of the victim was also attacked with punches and kicks until he went to the ground.
The police were alerted and was able to arrest the 21-year-old attacker shortly afterwards on the corner of Mehringdamm. When he was arrested, he claimed to have been beaten by the men. After completing the police measures, however, he was released. The injured couple was supplied by an ambulance.
