Attacks on service providers: Society in responsibility
Attacks on service providers: Society in responsibility
horrible conditions in our city! Every day, terrible attacks are committed to those who support us in everyday life. Statistics speak volumes: On average, three firefighters, eight ambulance workers and a frightening number of up to 290 police officers experience violent attacks every day! What's going on in our Berlin?
Dramatic times for our heroic helpers! In a world in which we rely on services, those who ensure our security and well -being, become victims of attacking violence. Over 5300 attacks on nursing and healthcare services per year- that has to be alerted! The professional association for nursing professions raises the alarm, and we finally have to stop considering these shocking numbers as mere statistics. These attacks affect real people with real fates!
The Situation of our service providers is unbearable!
According to DHL, the staff is racist when it comes to parcel delivery - and often only because their German is not perfectly accent -free. Is that really the price that people have to pay to work for us? If the package messenger that brings our orders is discriminated against due to its skin color, it is not only disappointing, but simply unacceptable. And that, even though we are constantly needing more people who take on these important jobs!
We live in a service company that aims to meet our needs quickly and efficiently. But what happens when fewer and fewer people are willing to take these professions out of fear of attacks? It is up to us to recognize that aggression - be it verbally or physically - are never justified, no matter how frustrating a situation may seem. The one who helps us is not the culprit for the problems in the systems in which they work.
a signal for change!
The numbers are alarming and the stories behind it is shocking. From the train, which now equips its inspectors with bodycams, to the brave paramedics and firefighters who do their service to save life every day - we no longer have to accept these shocking conditions! It is time that we stand together as a society and show these brave people the respect they deserve.
It is up to all of us to ensure a safe and respectful environment! Every attack is a blow to our coexistence and our solidarity as a society. Let us not allow our cities to become places of fear! Our helpers and service providers deserve protection and recognition, not violence and discrimination!
