The final trip ends in police operation: Students take ICE instead of Flix-Zug

Class trip ends again with police operation

Berlin. It was not until the beginning of May that students of a tenth grade of the Kreuzberger Lina-Morgenstern school had an uncomfortable experience: they came to a discussion with celebrating young people from the surrounding area in the Kiez Frauensee. The students were insulted and threatened, according to the police, also racist. The school trip had to be canceled under police protection.

A good two months later, the same class is unlucky again. According to a report by the RBB, a class trip with a police operation ended again this time. This time it was the final trip of the class to Utrecht Dutch, which culminated in a travel chaos. The students missed their Flix train in Duisburg due to an indicator of the train. Instead of the Flix train, for which they had bought tickets worth 1500 euros, they got into an ICE in Berlin without tickets. This was recommended by train employees at Duisburg Central Station and supported by the school management.

In the ICE, the students initially understood the first controller. But after a change of personnel halfway, the second controller saw a problem in the fact that the class was traveling without valid tickets. Even after retreats, the problem could not be cleared up. The controller then wanted to invoice the school class an increased transport fee of 9,000 euros, which the teacher refused. She also did not want to pass on the personal details. Thereupon the incident was reported by the federal police controller.

The 32 students from around 20 emergency services from the federal police were received shortly after midnight when they arrived at the Berlin Central Station. According to a spokeswoman for the federal police, it was a "normal procedure". However, the class teacher described the mission as "absolutely inappropriate and unnecessary".

The train later apologized for the incident and due to the error at the Duisburg train station, refrained from re -raising the fare.

While the story about the school trip has ended, the authorities will still be busy with the incidents in the Kiez Frauensee. The police investigation has not yet been completed and only after that will the public prosecutor will decide on further steps.
