in Baden-Württemberg the heart of democracy beats! An alliance of around 130 civil society groups has formed in order to decide for human rights and the freedom-democratic basic order. At a time when right -wing extremist tendencies endanger the vibrations of our society, the citizens set a powerful sign. They are actively fighting for a peaceful and diverse cooperation.

Especially with regard to the upcoming European elections, the members of the state alliance for democracy and human rights mobilize their strength. Through information formats for first voters and large -scale rallies, they show face for our values: democracy, human rights and our Basic Law!

a call for encounter and dialogue!

The chairwoman of the DJH Baden-Württemberg e.V., Dr. Susanne Pacher, on the occasion of the international day of democracy on September 15, sent out a clear message on September 15: "Democracy not only happens in Berlin! It's daily work!" The youth hostels create authentic spaces in which young people from all over the world can experience respectful exchange. Here the idea comes alive that everyone has a voice and should be heard.

The alliance notes that encounter and trust are essential components of our social structure. It has defined several clear goals:

  1. Guarantee of human rights: With combined strength, we counter extremism, anti -Semitism and misanthropy and defend the basic values ​​of our democracy!
  2. Strengthening the cohesion: Together act church, unions, initiatives and companies to form nationwide alliances against right -wing extremism.
  3. variety and tolerance: We are firmly alongside those who feel threatened by extremists. Everyone is valuable, regardless of origin, religion or sexual identity!
  4. political education: dialogues create understanding and break prejudices! In this way we can take better approaches and actively help shape society.
  5. Promotion of defensive democracy: In everyday life our attitude is evident! We preserve our principles, whether at the parents' evening or in the sports club - hate and agitation have no place!
