Severe weather warnings in Berlin and Brandenburg: Local thunderstorms and hail threaten

storm front ensures turbulence in Berlin and Brandenburg

A sudden baking of summer was replaced by a violent storm front via Berlin and Brandenburg, which was accompanied by heavy rain, hail and gusts of wind. The changeable weather brought local hailsters and heavy thunderstorms who kept the region in suspense.

The severe weather warnings were spent on both Berlin and for large parts of Brandenburg. In particular, the Ruppiner Land, the eastern Havelland and the Fläming were initially affected by the gusts before the front moved northeast and reached the entire capital of Berlin. Appropriate warnings were even published in Potsdam.

According to ARD weather expert Alexander Fromm, falling trees, falling objects and rapidly rising floods from the heavy rain can occur. The residents were warned that hail could occur locally, accompanied by gusts of gusts at speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour. Despite the storm, temperatures up to 31 degrees remains humid in the region.

The population was asked to adapt to other showers and thunderstorms on Thursday night. The changeable weather should also last on the following day, while the temperatures are a maximum of 29 degrees. At the weekend, an unstable weather with summer temperatures is expected just under 30 degrees.

The storm front has once again reminded the residents of Berlin and Brandenburg how quickly the weather can change and how important it is to be prepared for such events.
