The interruption, which lasted two weeks, concerned the section between the Sprichernstraße and Wittenbergplatz underground stations. This measure had become necessary because a third -party company had damaged parts of the tunnel ceiling. The ceiling and walls of the subway were then renewed for safety reasons. The newly introduced concrete has now hardened so that the trains can drive the entire route again. The restrictions for car traffic on Spichernstrasse are also expected to last until Monday, since the tunnel ceiling from the street must be re -sealed. If the situation continues to stabilize, the traffic could soon flow back without restrictions. The work to repair a damage at Spichernstraße station stepped quickly on June 10, 2025. Extensive construction work complicates the company
