This is not the first incident of this kind in the region. In 2021, a similar case was found on an approximately 200 year old oak nearby. In August 2013, a 100-year-old linden tree was also killed in the same place by a similar method. Both trees had to be felled. The series of tree damage in this area is alarming and raises questions about the protection and safety of trees in the city.
