Ulrich Grasnick Lyric Prize 2024: Ceremonial award in the Adlershofer Kulturzentrum

A spectacular literary highlight awaits guests on November 1, 2024 in the Kulturzentrum Alte School Adlershof! The public award of the prestigious Ulrich Grasnick Lyric Prize is just around the corner, and the anticipation is tangible! From 7:00 p.m. it will not only be about the best verses, but also about emotions and masterpieces of poetry!

The entry? Free! Everyone has the chance to take part in this extraordinary evening and experience literary fireworks. The goal? Poet and poetic voices to focus on!

347 talented authors have applied with a total of 694 lyrical texts - an impressive flood of numbers that reflects the quality and variety of German poetry! This year's motto "counterpoint" is based on the profound questions: "How undoubtedly come because we saw bridges falling through which we just went?"

These words impressively put the challenge of the poet to the point: memories and expectations cross, and the voices of the poets must be announced in a balanced harmony. The jury had the difficult task of selecting the outstanding works from the amount of contributions.

On June 15, 2024, the jury came together under the chair of York Friday. Experts like Leonie Köhler and Dr. Martin A. Völker was consulted for a decision. The result of the anonymous evaluation? The participants waited for the announcement of the nominees.

And here you are! The following talents were honored with a nomination from the large field of participants: Cornelia Eichner, Mathias Schramm, Anke Hüper, Angelika Seithe and many more. But the culmination of the evening will be the announcement of the award winners!

The big winner of the Ulrich Grasnick Lyric Prize 2024 is Britta Lübbers from Oldenburg, who got first place! Christine Zugeich from Constance secured second place and is also honored - a couple of poetic huge people!

The program of the evening will enchant the guests present with their poems, the award winners, nominees and other authors. Victor Hoffmann (guitar) and David Yonan (violin) provide the musical framework - another pleasure for the senses!
