One Billion Rising in Berlin: Dance and Mitsing campaign against violence against women and girls

According to a report by www.berlin.de Various organizations on November 25, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Schöneweide shopping center, the dance and singing campaign "One Billion Rising". This is a worldwide movement in which it is made aware that every third woman in the world experiences violence in the course of her life, which affects more than a billion women and girls.

"Violence against women and girls affects all of us. In our Treptow-Köpenick district, we offer affected women and girls various support options and are committed to a non-violent cooperation. The ONE Billion Rising campaign sets a strong sign of a life without violence for everyone-in Treptow-Köpenick, in Berlin and beyond," says district mayor Oliver Igel.

The campaign is opened by district mayor Oliver Igel and includes a joint sing-along and dance performance. Afterwards there is the possibility to exchange and get to know various initiatives and projects that are committed to violence against women and girls.
