Culture Center Ratz-Fatz: Looking for new management and ideas

The Kulturzentrum Ratz-Fatz is looking for new makers!

A real call to act! The district of Treptow-Köpenick in Berlin is looking for a new, dynamic organization that will start from 1 January 2025 as the operator for the legendary cultural center Schöneweide Ratz-Fatz in Schnellstraße 81.

Who has the creative power to take over this cultural heart? This is done in the context of an expression of interest, and everyone who wants to become the fire station of cultural life should have attentive ears!

The new operating organization is required to create a rich offer for the entire population of Lower Schöneweide. The focus is on the needs and preferences of the residents! Sociocultural programs that hit the pulse of the cultural scene are planned.

The aim is to promote cultural diversity with a wide range of events. That includes:

• establishment of a colorful range of artistic, cultural and visual activities,
• Support of emerging artists,
• realization of sustainable art and cultural projects that make the cityscape more lively,
• Promotion and support of voluntary cultural initiatives,
• operation of a cabaret that gives music and theater events a home,
• Strengthening cooperation with other cultural providers in the Schöneweide social area!

It is particularly important to preserve the previous cultural priorities in the Ratz-Fatz if they can be integrated into a creative future concept. And the view of social developments is crucial - how does the neighborhood live and work and how can it be better supported?

If you are interested, you should stop your eyes and ears: the tender for the expression of interests will be published at the end of September 2024. Time is also limited - applications are possible until October 31, 2024! All applicants whose concepts convince the jury are invited to deep discussions.
