Initial luck: New program supports healthy eating of children

The prevention program "Discovering nutrition together" starts in June 2022 as a pilot project in the Treptow-Köpenick district. The aim of the program is to support (expectant) parents in implementing a balanced and health -promoting diet in order to promote the health development of their children in the first 1,000 days of life. The program is made by the Association of Private Health Insurance e. V. promoted and developed and carried out by your strong partner for networks as well as the platform.

The program is implemented in close cooperation with experts, specialists, municipal decision -makers and interested parties from different areas in order to enable a holistic approach to promoting children. For this purpose, a district tax group and an interdisciplinary working group are formed in Treptow-Köpenick to develop measures along the first four nutritional phases-pregnancy, lactation, funeral and family food.

In the current program phase, materials in the form of booklets, method cards and explanatory videos are tested by specialists as well as (expectant) parents and qualifications such as training for multipliers are developed. The pilot phase starts in February and lasts 12 months before the program is to be expanded across Germany at the end of 2025.
