Girls' Day in the district office: Student accompanies city council for a day
At this year's girls' day in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district office, the 13-year-old student Leticia Tempelhahn was able to accompany District City Councilor Tobias Dollase for a day and get an insight into the work of a politically elected city council. This day should offer girls the opportunity to sniff in different professional fields and overcome clichés.
District City Councilor Tobias Dollase has supported the girls' day for several years to bring girls closer to the variety of occupational fields and career opportunities. Leticia Tempelhahn could not only learn how Tobias Dollase became a district councilor, but also get to know the various vocational training and career opportunities in the management of a district office.
in the branch in Alarichstrasse, where the school and sports office as well as offices for further training and culture are housed, Leticia received insights into the structure and tasks of the department. She took part in a session with the Sport department and was then able to get to know the other departments during a tour.
The Girls' Day is an important initiative to inspire girls at an early stage for different professional fields and encourage them, ask questions and get an insight into the scenes of professions. Such days can be broken down and interested in new professional fields.
